POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council has been selected to receive an $18,000 Regional Economic Development Council Award and will expand a position from part time to full time.
The grant, through the New York State Council on the Arts' Workforce Investment program, was one of 82 projects funded in the seven-county North Country region as part of the 2015 Regional Economic Development Council Awards.
The money will be used to expand the program coordinator's part-time position to full-time over the span of two years, 2016 and 2017. Jennifer Henry is the current program coordinator.
The council primarily serves St. Lawrence County with additional program support in Jefferson and Lewis counties.
