MADRID -- A Potsdam woman was charged Wednesday for allegedly tearing up a sign that was hanging at Main Street Market on March 20, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Victoria L. Middlemiss, 29, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Deputies said she took a sign down that was hanging in the window and tore it up before leaving the store.

She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Madrid court at a later date.
