POTSDAM – A Potsdam woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of her children for knowingly allowing her children to ride in a car with an intoxicated driver.
Melanie A. Stone, 29, faces three counts after an incident in which a Norwood man, Stanley Stephenson was charged with a felony for driving the children and Stone to a store where, allegedly already drunk, he bought a 30-pack of beer.
The children are aged 4 months, 2 years, and 7 years.
Stone was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court Tuesday and released in her own recognizance.
