POTSDAM -- Potsdam and Norwood residents were charged with drug possession following a shoplifting complaint at Big Lots, 200 Market St., Wednesday evening, according to Potsdam police.
Jonathan E. Lavalley, 25, Potsdam was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
Ashley M. Radell, 28, Norwood, was charged with petit larceny and possession of a hypodermic instrument, police said.
They were reportedly charged at 6:25 p.m.
They were both released on appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam Village Court Feb. 13 at 9:30 a.m., officers said.
