POTSDAM – A Potsdam man is in county lockup after allegedly registering a blood alcohol content four times above the legal limit following a car crash on Grove Street Tuesday afternoon.
Village police charged Robert M. Fowler, 31, of Potsdam with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday after they responded to an accident on Grove Street.
Police report Fowler crossed the center line of the road striking an oncoming car.
They said breath analysis revealed his BAC was .33 percent, above the .08 percent legal limit. A percentage above .18 percent BAC results in aggravated charges.
He was arraigned before Justice James A. Mason in Potsdam Town Court and was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending further court action.
