PARISHVILLE -- St. Lawrence County Sheriff deputies say a Potsdam man is facing numerous charges after crashing his car and leaving the scene, who was collared fleeing on foot after his vehicle died.

Dustin A. Gagnon, 24, of Butternut Ridge Road is charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of marijuana, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and unsafely moving from lane.

Deputies say he struck guard rails on Pierrepont Avenue in Potsdam and left the scene. His car became disabled on West Parishville Road, where he fled on foot and resisted arrest once found by deputies, investigators allege. He also allegedly refused a breath test, deputies said.

He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond, deputies said.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case on Saturday, deputies charged Dillon Noble, 24, of Canton with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding on state Route 310 in Potsdam.
