POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man was injured following a two-vehicle drunk driving accident, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said.
Ronald C. Maroney, 62, was charged with driving while intoxicated, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to keep right.
Deputies said Maroney was driving drunk when he failed to negotiate a curve and allegedly forced a vehicle driven by Tyler S. Klemp, of Massena, off of the road.
Deputies say the vehicles collided and Maroney's vehicle continued into a tree.
Maroney was transported to Canton-Potsdam hospital.
Klemp did not report injuries at the scene.
Klemp was issued a ticket for uninspected motor vehicle.
Deputies say further charges are pending on results from a toxicology report.
Potsdam Fire and Rescue and Norwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
