POTSDAM – A Potsdam man has been charged with Leandra’s Law – a felony DWI – after village police discovered he had driven under the influence with his four-year-old daughter in the vehicle, and allegedly engaged in a domestic dispute at McDuff’s Tavern early Sunday.

Tobias J. Smith, 35, of Potsdam, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and felony driving while intoxicated – Leandra’s Law – for having a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle with him. Police state his blood alcohol level was .16 percent, above the .08 percent legal level.
