POTSDAM – Travis J. Nelson, 32, Potsdam, has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated after an accident where his vehicle ended up on its side early Sunday.
Potsdam police were called to an accident on Maple Street at 2:52 a.m. after Nelson’s vehicle allegedly turned improperly from Market onto Maple and hit the guide rail on the bridge, which rolled the vehicle onto its side.
Police charged Nelson with DWI, imprudent speed, failure to keep right, improper turn, and not using a seat belt, and issued him tickets.
More charges are pending the results of blood tests, according to police.
