POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man was charged with driving more than three times the legal limit following traffic stop Saturday morning on Clarkson Avenue, according to Potsdam police.
Peter J. Atkinson, 26, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right at 2:51 a.m., officers said.
Police say they pulled him over after observing the vehicle he was operating pass over the yellow solid line into the oncoming lane.
A blood-alcohol-content test revealed a BAC level of .26 percent, officers said.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable to court Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m., police said.
