POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man faces several charges after allegedly attempting to kick in a door Sunday where he had been in a domestic dispute earlier.
Corey S. McGregor, 23, is accused of coercion 2nd degree: fear of physical injury to a person; coercion 2nd degree: instill fear of criminal conduct; coercion 2nd degree: instill fear that some person will be accused of a crime; menacing 3rd degree; harassment 2nd degree: physical contact; animal cruelty; criminal mischief 4th; and attempted burglary.
Potsdam police said McGregor was charged following a domestic dispute at a Pierrepont Avenue address.
After a physical altercation, McGregor left and returned a short time later, according to police.
The victim had locked the door and McGregor allegedly attempted to kick the door in.
McGregor later came to the Potsdam Police Department where he was arrested and was arraigned by Village Justice Pignone.
He was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
