POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Hospital Guild recently presented their annual donation to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, this year totaling $49,122, including $8,655 for an infant radiant warmer, $13,340 for radiation oncology equipment, $18,000 toward construction of the new cancer treatment center, and more than $9,000 in “mini grants” for smaller projects.
Potsdam Guild volunteers operate the CPH Gift Shop, with all proceeds benefiting the hospital. The guild raises funds through in-hospital book and uniform sales, and from community events including their annual spaghetti dinner, garden tour, garage sale, and golf tournament.
Eighteen dedicated guild board members, and countless guild volunteers, donate thousands of hours in fundraising for the hospital.
Shown in the photo are Potsdam Hospital Guild Co-Presidents Joyce Yianoukos, left, and Suzanne Dougherty, right, presenting this year’s donation to Hospital President and CEO David Acker.
