POTSDAM -- Now that the first North Country snow has fallen, the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is launching its Facebook page snowman photo contest.
“From now until the end of February, we will be accepting photos of snowman or snow creature creations on our Facebook page Potsdam Chamber,” said chamber executive director Marylee Ballou.
Participants can build a snowman or snow creature between now and the end of February. Include a star somewhere in the design, take a photo and post it to the chamber Facebook page photo contest album for 2015.
The star will signify that the entry was created this season.
Entries can also be emailed to potsdam@slic.com
A winner will be announced in early March once the contest ends and that entry will receive a $25 Potsdam chamber gift certificate.
Winner will be determined by how many “Likes” it receives.
“We want to encourage everyone, no matter their age, to see the coming snowfalls in a positive light and to get outside and enjoy our North Country Winter,” Ballou said.
