POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central School Board of Education approved sports mergers with several other school districts at their recent June 12 meeting.
Merger requests for varsity girl’s lacrosse and modified and varsity track with Brasher Falls Central School was approved for the 2018-19 school year.
The school board also approved a merger with Norwood-Norfolk Central, Madrid-Waddington Central and Colton-Pierrepont Central for students to participate in football for the upcoming season.
Girls from NNNCS and Parishville-Hopkinton received approval from the board to join the Potsdam Central team.
PHCS also requested and was granted a merger request for varsity golf, varsity girl’s lacrosse and volleyball.
