The bulk of the rainfall will slide east this morning with just a few linger showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon across the St. Lawrence Valley, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Warm and humid conditions will continue on today with the potential for a heatwave looming to start the work week.
Highs today will be around 84 with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, forecasters say. Tonight the low will be around 67 with a slight chance of precipitation.
Sunday will be sunny and hot with a high around 90, NWS says. The low overnight is expected to be about 70.
Monday will be even warmed with a high of 92 likely, the service says. An overnight low of 71 is expected.
