CANTON -- A St. Lawrence University student is facing felony drug charges after being caught with cocaine, ecstasy and other substances, according to Canton police Chief James Santimaw.
Keegan P. Thomas of Rooseveltown is charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies, and misdemeanors including seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia: scales and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana: more than two ounces.
He was charged at 12:36 a.m. Sept. 2, police said.
Thomas allegedly possessed 10 grams of cocaine in three separate baggies, marijuana with a field test weight of 124 grams and 391 pills, about half of which were ecstasy and the other half Adderall, Santimaw said.
Thomas was charged following a noise complaint at a residence hall that turned up the drugs, according to Santimaw.
Thomas was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court by Justice Robert Camp and released on his own recognizance, police said.
