POTSDAM — Potsdam police charged six men with disorderly conduct following investigation of an incident in which they allegedly surrounded a house and pounded on windows and doors.
Police received a complaint Oct. 19 from a person who said several males were banging on the doors and windows of an Elm Street house.
During their investigation police discovered that the group of males throught a person inside the home had taken an item that belonged to them, which was unfounded, officers said.
The group reportedly did not stop banging on the windows and doors until police arrived.
Police said the complainant alleged the actions were hostile and caused concern for their safety.
Charged at 8 p.m. Wednesday with disorderly conduct: create hazardous condition were:
• Sean M. Winikates, 23, Apache Junction, Ariz.
• Anthony N. Merante, 23, Niagra Falls
• Ryan R. Glander, 21, Campbell Hall
• Benjamin H. Thompson, 21, Canterbury, Conn.
• Bryce K. Ferrell, 22, East Amherst
• Nathan F. Zweig, 23, Binghamton
All six subjects were cited and released.
