OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center patient.
Donald Copeman, 45, of the center’s Northwood Manor, 1 Chimney Point Drive was last seen on Saturday around 9:45 a.m., police said.
He is described as being 5’10”, 200 lbs., blue eyes and bald. No description of clothing could be provided. Although not depicted in the accompanying photo, Copeman wears thick rimmed, brown glasses.
He reportedly was seen getting into a blue taxi van at Northwood Manor.
Copeman failed to return on Saturday afternoon, as expected, and has had no contact with staff at Northwood manor since.
He was reported missing to the Ogdensburg Police Department on Monday, police said.
“The investigation had failed to produce any solid leads to Mr. Copeman’s whereabouts,” a statement from Ogdensburg Police says.
Copeman has ties to the Gouverneur area and could possibly be there, police said.
Both the Gouverneur Village and State Police have been assisting in the investigation. Police ask anyone who can provide information on Copeman or his whereabouts to call 393-1555.
