POTSDAM – Potsdam University Police say sheriff’s deputies and village police were searching for suspects accused of armed robbery Tuesday night.
“An armed robbery has been reported at a residence on Route 56, south of campus, near the Potsdam Town & Country Club. The New York State Police, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and Potsdam Police Department are searching for two suspects with ski masks covering their faces,” a Facebook post from Potsdam University Police said.
“Police are advising all people in the Potsdam vicinity to be vigilant while the suspects are at large. Lock your doors, don't pick up hitchhikers, and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. If you see anything suspicious, contact University Police immediately, at (315) 267-2222,” post said.
