GOUVERNEUR — Two Gouverneur residents were charged Dec. 3 with stealing a washing machine and selling it to another person this past summer, according to Gouverneur police.

Simmons and Law then stole an LG washing machine that is owned by Judith Conklin, police said. The pair then sold it for $75 to a second victim, Daniel Latray.

Simmons was charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fourth-degree conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child, officers said.

Law was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, fourth-degree conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Both subjects were arraigned by Judge Dann and released under the supervision of probation, police said.
