Police charge four Ogdensburg residents after finding heroin, pills and marijuana following reported domestic incident

OGDENSBURG – Four Ogdensburg residents were arrested on drug charges after police find heroin, pills and marijuana following reported domestic incident Tuesday afternoon, according to Ogdensburg police.

The Ogdensburg Police Department executed a search warrant at 121 Cherry St. after were dispatched to the residence for a reported, domestic related incident. An officer from New York State Parole, recognizing the address as that of a current parolee under his supervision, responded to the scene as well.

During the investigation officers observed items of interest leading to investigators being summoned to the scene who soon applied for a search warrant from Ogdensburg City Judge James Monroe.

The Ogdensburg Police Department’s K-9 Unit reportedly found a significant quantity of heroin, packaged for sale, an assortment of prescription medication, a quantity of marijuana, as well as, drug paraphernalia including multiple forms of drug packaging and scales.

Jared M. Casey, 38, homeowner and resident of 121 Cherry St., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, for heroin possession.

Kenneth R. Kendall, 40, 121 Cherry St., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, for heroin possession. He was also charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Megan B. LaRock, 34, 121 Cherry St., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony. She was also charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for possession of buprenorphine (Subutex) and acetaminophen/hydrocodone. She was also cited for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Barry J. Crayford, 39, of 121 Cherry St., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, for possession of clonazepam and carisoprodol (somas).

He was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, felony, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

All four were held in city lockup up overnight and arraigned. Following their arraignment by acting City Judge James Monroe, Larock and Kendall were released under the supervision of the St. Lawrence County Probation Department. Casey and Crayford were both remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
