The slush on the roads from the spring snowstorm yesterday morning made for tough driving, and for a higher than usual number of property-damage vehicle accidents in St. Lawrence County.
State police investigated accidents in DeKalb, Lisbon, Lawrence, Macomb, Gouverneur, Rossie, and Oswegatchie Monday.
Bruce J. Wells, 34, Potsdam, was in an accident with his vehicle Monday morning along County Rt. 16 near County Rt. 15 in DeKalb.
Eric E. Parmeter, 31, Heuvelton, had an accident at about 7 a.m. along County Rt. 10 near State Rt. 68 in the town of Lisbon.
Jason R. Black, 35, Winthrop, had a vehicle accident at about 7:15 a.m. along US Rt. 11 near Finnegan Road in the town of Lawrence.
Jeffrey L. Prashaw, 47, Gouverneur, had an accident with his vehicle at about 7:30 a.m. in the town of Macomb, along State Rt. 58 near Hurst Road.
Also at about 7:30, Leo R. Knight, 50, Gouverneur, had an accident in Gouverneur along Hermon Road near Scotch Settlement Road.
Diane S. Recher, 60, Antwerp, had a mishap at about 8:15 a.m. in Rossie, along County Line Road near County Rt. 22.
At about 12:30 p.m., Heather M. Nichols, 22, Heuvelton, had a mishap along State Rt. 812 near County Rt. 4 in Oswegatchie.
Orrie J. Howe, 57, Ogdensburg, had an accident at about 1:30 p.m. on State Rt. 68 near State Rt. 37 in Oswegatchie.
