PIERREPONT – A Pierrepont man was arrested and jailed Monday night for allegedly placing a female in fear of her life while he displayed a kitchen knife and grabbing her by the throat and preventing her from breathing.
According to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies, Jase A. Page, 27, of 85 County Route 59, lot 37, was charged with menacing second degree and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He was also cited with endangering the welfare of a child because the incident occurred in the presence of a small child, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond, deputies said.
