POTSDAM -- Crews are to begin paving Pierrepont Avenue, State Route 56 between Main Street and Canton Drive, at the SUNY Potsdam campus, starting Wednesday, Oct. 24. The work is expected to be done by Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to the state Department of Transportation Region 7 office in Watertown.
It is planned to occur between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on those days.
Those traveling through the area should expect minor delays during work hours.
Traffic will be controlled using cones and flaggers in addition to work zone traffic control signs. Variable message signs will be posted in the area to alert travelers to the work.
DOT asks that drivers proceed carefully through every highway and bridge construction zone.
