GOUVERNEUR – On Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 23 and 24, the Village of Gouverneur Department of Public Works has scheduled paving of Howard Street, Rowley Street (North Gordon to Rock Island), Barnes Street (North Gordon to Park), Beckwith Street (Sterling to railroad tracks), Spencer Street (Depot to dead end), Dorwin Street (from Depot to dead end), Bullard Street (Factory to dead end) and Spencer Street (Factory to dead end).
Work will begin on Howard Street Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. and will continue throughout the two days. Inclement weather may change the schedule.
These streets will be closed to through traffic; only emergency vehicles will be allowed through.
