POTSDAM — Tanya Krise of Parishville and Becky Tessier of Massena were recently inducted as the newest members of the Rotary Club of Potsdam.

Krise is the commercial insurance sales executive for Northern Insuring Agency in Potsdam and Massena. Tessier is the senior sales executive in the personal lines division at Northern Insuring Agency in Potsdam and Massena.

Licensed in the State of New York for property and casualty insurance, Krise is working toward a certified insurance counselor designation.

She enjoys working with local business owners to find comprehensive insurance packages and help identify ways to mitigate risk, a Potsdam Rotary Club press release said.

Krise is a native of Norwood and received her bachelor of science degree in business administration and management from SUNY Canton, and is a graduating member of the 2018 St. Lawrence Leadership Institute. She volunteers with the Parishville Rescue Squad. Outside of work and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Tessier has been with Northern Insuring Agency for 17 years. In her current roll, she is responsible for writing and managing accounts for the agency’s insured for auto insurance, homeowners, camps, and recreational vehicles -- to name a few.

Tessier received her bachelor of science degree in studio art and her master of science degree in education (elementary education and art, and grades K-12 with a computer concentration), both from SUNY Potsdam.

The Potsdam Rotary Club was established in 1928. Today it continues a long tradition of performing hands-on service projects and fund-raising for local, regional, and international causes. In short, Rotary is about sharing, serving, and having fun!

The Potsdam Rotary Club meets each Wednesday at noon at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Potsdam. Guests are welcome.
