Monique Jenkinson (center), a senior at Parishville-Hopkinton HS, is congratulated by Pat Hysert (left), VP for New York State PTA, and Ellen Galo (right), Region Director for North Country Region PTA, as the North Country Region's PTA Youth Humanitarian Award.
The award was presented in memory of Stanley Marcus at North Country Region PTA's Spring Conference on April 20, held at AAK Middle School in Potsdam.
Monique accumulated an outstanding amount of volunteer service hours in an impressive variety of school and community activities ranging from Special Olympics to fundraising for various organizations, to theater activities to school office aide.
Keith Gallucci, who was nominated by Heuvelton Central School PTA, was a very close first runner-up, and received a Certificate of Merit from North Country Region PTA.
