POTSDAM -- The Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament is signing up golfers for their tournament on July 23 at the Potsdam Town and Country Club, 6194 State Highway 56.

The tourney is slated for 9 a.m. shotgun start and is the prime fundraising activity for Helping Hands of Potsdam, founded by Cindy Talcott.

The tournament format is captain and crew with a maximum of 36 teams.

Prizes will be given for men's, women's, mixed flights, and special events, as well as other prize drawings.

Again this year, the tournament will also be doubling as a food drive for Helping hands. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted on the day of the tournament.

All food contributors will be included in a special prize drawing to be held at the close of the tournament provided by Sun Feather Company/Adirondack Fragrance and Flavor Farm.

Non-perishable items from people not participating in the golf tournament will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Potsdam Town and Country Club.

Interested golfers can register by contacting Betty Connolly at 854-0110 or conolly@canton.edu, Sandy Demarest at 323-2844 or sandy@ncpr.org, or Tom Chappell at 268-0633.
