PARISHVILLE – A meeting to save the Parishville Post Office is set for the town hall at 6 p.m. Monday, May 23.
The post office is under review for possible closure.
There are petitions out in the area, including the town hall, the Amvets and Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. They can also be signed at tonight’s meeting.
A postal representative will discuss the possible discontinuation with the community.
A Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SaveParishvillePostOffice has been set up for discussion of the matter.
The smaller post offices listed for possible closure last month included the West Stockholm Post Office in the Town of Stockholm and in Hailesboro, near Gouverneur.
