MALONE – A Malone woman is dead and others were seriously injured in a two-car accident July 6 at 5:08 p.m. on State Route 37, according to state police.
State police say a 2015 Ford Fiesta was eastbound on State Route 37, approximately one-half mile west of Bare Hill Road, when it veered into the westbound lane and struck vehicle two head on, a 2016 Ford Escape.
The operators of both vehicles were transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center by Malone EMS, and were subsequently airlifted to the University of Vermont Health Network at Fletcher Allen.
The front seat passenger of vehicle one was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center by Bangor EMS and succumbed to her injuries.
The identity of the vehicle operators and the passenger are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, but troopers say those injured were from Malone and North Bangor.
