OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Zonta Club recently celebrated its 100 years when the Zonta Club of Oswego passed the Zonta International District 2 Centennial Torch to the Ogdensburg group.
The local club leadership accepted the District Centennial Torch from their Oswego sisters, President Tammy Thompson and Kris Bushey.
Zonta Club of Ogdensburg will hold the torch this month and have a variety of things planned to celebrate.
After October, the club will pass it to the Zonta Club of Ottawa in Ontario.
Zonta Club of Ogdensburg was chartered in 1945. The torch is passed in order of charter dates, from the first Club in our District to the most recent.
