OSWEGATCHIE – An Ogdensburg woman has been charged with driving a snowmobile while intoxicated in connection with a recent accident on Black Lake in which she was injured, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Dawn M. Wells, 48, of 112 Cherry St., Ogdensburg, has also been cited with operating an unregistered snowmobile, deputies said.
Deputies have determined the Jan. 21 accident occurred because she hit ground while operating the snowmobile on Blake Lake.
She was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Canter, Ogdensburg, after complaining of back and neck pain, deputies said.
