OGDENSBURG -- City officials are warning residents not to reserve city-owned property along Ford Street for the Seaway Festival Parade July 26.
"City property is not allowed to be reserved for any function. Residents will no longer be allowed to place chairs, fencing or vehicles along city-owned property prior to the day of any celebration," a release from city hall says.
"City staff will remove any such items from city-owned property up to 6 p.m. the evening before the Seaway Festival Parade. Property removed will be temporarily stored and disposed of if not claimed within 14 days of the parade date."
The release says this allows city staff to maintain the property safely without obstructions.
Residents will be allowed to use the city-owned properties on a first come-first served basis on the morning of the parade.
As always, the City appreciates your cooperation.
