OGDENSBURG – An Ogdensburg man and a woman from Hermon were both arrested by Ogdensburg police officers on drug charges following a traffic stop on Morris Street Thursday morning, March 29.

Police, with the help of the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (parole officers), stopped the vehicle driven by Katie M. Loffler, 18, of 214 Fordham Hill Road, Hermon. Dalton Perry, 23, of 415 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg was a passenger in the car.

A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of heroin, liquid fentanyl, suboxone pills, and synthetic marihuana, said a press release from the Ogdensburg Police Department.

Perry, who was under the supervision of the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony. He was also charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors.

Perry was also arrested on a New York State Parole Warrant, said police.

He was arraigned by Judge Gary Alford in Ogdensburg city court and held in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.

Loffler was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony; and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors.

Loffler was also arraigned by Judge Alford in city court. She was then held in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $2,000 cash bail and $4,000 bond.
