OSWEGATCHIE – An Ogdensburg man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Friday morning after leaving the scene of a property-damage accident on State Highway 37, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Brock R. Kuca, 25, was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident.
Deputies said they came upon a vehicle that looked like it had been involved an accident and located the driver, Kuca, a short distance away.
An investigation revealed that Kuca was travelling southwest on State Highway 37 when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle left the roadway striking a road sign and a for sale sign.
The vehicle then reentered the roadway and Kuca left the scene but his vehicle became disabled a short time later.
His blood-alcohol content was reportedly .16 percent.
He was released on appearance tickets returnable to Oswegatchie court at a later date.
