An Ogdensburg businessman hopes to promote his limo service while offering college students safe rides in the Canton-Potsdam area.
Josh Amo, owner and operator of Seaway Valley Jumpers and Seaway Valley Limo, said DWI’s are pretty common and cause big problems for people.
“It’s something I thought about when I first started,” he said. “I thought it be a good idea to promote safe driving and offer students a safe way to get around,” he said.
Amo said the service would be available every night throughout March.
“Now people can have a little March madness without the sadness of a DWI,” he said.
“People can check my Facebook page or call to see when I am available,” he said. “I usually keep a good eye on it and let people know what I am doing,” he said.
Amo said the service officially began March 2, and is available from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Students must show college ID.
Passengers will be required to sign a limousine contract when they ride. Cost will be $5 per person.
For now Amo said he plans to offer the service through March, but may continue if there is an interest.
