OGDENSBURG -- State police say they charged an Ogdensburg Correctional Facility inmate the day before he was released from prison.
Paul Hall, 22, of Buffalo is charged with a felony count of assault while confined with a correctional facility, a felony, troopers said.
A state police blotter report says the incident was a weapon assault reported to troopers June 2 at 11:38 a.m.
Hall was charged at 7:17 a.m. Friday at the prison, troopers said.
He was arraigned in court and ordered held in lieu if $500 bail, troopers said.
According to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYSDOCCS) website, Hall's 3.5-year sentence for second-degree robbery and attempted robbery expires Saturday.
