OGDENSBURG – A quick response by Ogdensburg firefighters saved a Washington Street home early Thursday morning.
Ogdensburg fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1,000 block of Washington St. engine 1 and engine 3 under the command of Capt. Jim Lowery were enroute with in 2 minutes, Ogdensburg Fire Chief Michael Farrell said.
Units arrived to find a small amount of fire in an attic area above the kitchen.
Quick action calling 911 by the homeowner and a quick response limited damaged, the chief said.
Assistance was provided by Ogdensburg Police Department, Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and county car 9.
No injuries were reported.
