OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s School Partnership Program, The Claxton Connection is teaming up with the After School Program at Kennedy School in Ogdensburg to help out the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA.
Spear-headed by surgical services department nurses Ashley Ives and Alicia Crossman, the group decided to give back this holiday season to the local SPCA to show appreciation for all that they do for pets in need.
The drive will also teach children that giving during this time year can often be more rewarding than receiving. Donations are being collected at Kennedy School now through Dec. 20.
Items needed include cat litter, laundry soap, bleach, fabric softener sheets, paper towels, trash bags and any type of hard dog or cat food. Shown in the photo with the Kennedy After School Children are SPCA Volunteer Karen Cunningham (far left) and her dog Dakota, and in back Ives (right) and Crossman (left).
