Ogdensburg Command Performances to feature Texas Tenors, Siberian folk dance, musicals for 2015-16 season

OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Command Performances is now selling tickets for its 52nd season.

Productions will return to George Hall Auditorium after being hosted last year in Massena and Gouverneur due to renovations.

Tickets range from $15 to $37 for single performances. They are available at www.ILoveTheatre.org.

Season tickets are $61 to $158. They are not available online. People seeking them should call 393-3745 for more information.

Ticket orders will be filled after Aug. 30.

All showtimes are 7:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The season starts Oct. 26 with the National Dance Company of Siberia. The folk dance troupe was formed in 1960 and today includes “a company of 50 accomplished dancers,” according to the group’s website. Colorful costumes and intricate choreography are hallmarks of their performance. They have appeared in all parts of the Russian Federation, as well as more than 60 other countries in all parts of the globe. Musical “All Hands On Deck!” is slated for Nov. 20. The show is based on Bob Hope’s 1942 USO tour to soldiers fighting in World War II. It features a full orchestra and 40 big band hits including “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “Atchison Topeka and the Santa Fe,” “I'm In The Mood For Love,” “Pennsylvania Polka,” “I'll Never Smile Again,” “Don't Fence Me In,” “Deep In The Heart Of Texas,” “Thanks For The Memory” and “America the Beautiful.” Go to http://www.allhandsondeckthemusical.com/ for more information.

“Shadows of the ’60s, A Tribute to Motown Christmas” hits the stage Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. The show pays tribute to The Four Tops. It spans several decades of their history, including “Bernadette,” “Standing In The Shadows Of Love” and “Reach Out (I'll Be There).” The show’s creative director is Dave Revels, a former member of The Drifters. On Mar. 17, OCP will host the Tony-winning musical “Million Dollar Quartet.” It tells the story of a one-night recording session in Memphis, Tenn. with Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins. More on the show is available at http://milliondollarquartetlive.com/.

Returning to Ogdensburg on May 18, OCP closes its 2015-16 season with “The Texas Tenors.” The group performs a concert that is a mix of country, classical, broadway and contemporary music.
