International traffic was up across the border bridge at Ogdensburg and down at the bridge at Massena in 2012.
Crossings were up by more than 10 percent at the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge from 2011 to 2012, according to figures provided by the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority.
In 2012, 711,764 passenger cars made the trip across the St. Lawrence River, while 70,760 trucks crossed the bridge.
In 2011, car traffic was lower, at 630,087 trips, while truck traffic was higher with 72,388 crossings.
The totals: 710,475 in 2011 and 782,524 in 2012, an increase of 10.14 percent.
At the Seaway International Bridge between Massena/Hogansburg and Cornwall, Ont., traffic dropped in 2012.
At the more-heavily traveled bridge, traffic in 2012 was down by more than five percent.
Car crossings were 2,296,704 and truck trips were 79,492 in 2011. Car trips were 2,175,140 and truck trips stood at 79,063 in 2012.
The totals: 2,376,196 in 2011, and 2,254,203 in 2012, down 5.13 percent.
