OGDENSBURG -- U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) is expected to visit the Ogdensburg International Airport this afternoon to lend his support to the $12 million airport expansion plan.
The $12 million expansion plan includes a runway extension, rerouting part of State Rt. 68, and a substantial loan from a commercial air carrier.
Allegiant Air has promised a $1 million loan for improvements to the passenger terminal and parking area if the project goes ahead as planned.
