NORWOOD -- St. Lawrence County Sheriff deputies say they charged a woman for neglecting a dog to the point it had to be euthanized.
Judith L. Dufore, 57, of 2818 County Rte. 47, Norwood is charged with animal cruelty, deputies said.
Deputies said they began an investigation after getting a complaint of an injured dog from the Potsdam Humane Society.
“It is alleged Dufore did not properly care for the dog,” a statement from the Sheriff’s Office says. “Due to the animal’s poor condition, it had to be euthanized.”
She was released with appearance tickets for Stockholm Town Court.
