NORWOOD -- National Grid has granted the Norwood Village Green Concert Series $1,000 to help bring master trumpet player Wayne Bergeron to the event.
Bergeron will perform for the Norwood Village Green Concert Series audience on Thursday, July 5 as a guest artist with the All Star Big Band under the director of Wally Siebel.
He will also conduct workshops for the campers at Crane Youth Music on Friday, July 6 and again join the All Star Big Band in a performance for CYM in the Snell Theater, Crane School of Music, that same evening.
National Grid, in its community granting program supports educational programs that enhance skills. In writing the grant proposal, Joseph M. Liotta, President of the Norwood Village Green Concert Series emphasized, not only the value of Mr. Bergeron’s performance to the general public, but also the value of teaching these performance skills to the upcoming generation of performers.
