NORWOOD – A Norwood police officer has been charged with taking a bribe and official misconduct.
The arrest stems from an investigation into conduct by Donalis while he was acting as a patrolman for the Norwood Police Department.
The sheriff’s office was assisted in their investigation by the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office and members of Massena Homeland Security Investigations.
Donalis was arraigned in Town of Canton Court in front of Justice Michael Morgan and was released to probation supervision.
He is to appear at a later date in Canton court.
Details of the investigation have not been revealed.
The probe is ongoing and the sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about Donalis to call 315-379-2360.
Investigating officers include Det. Sean P. O’Brien, Det. Patrick Engle and Det. Sgt. Thomas Caringi.
