NORWOOD -- The Norwood-Norfolk Central School Board of Education approved several appointments, resignation and retirements of teachers, sports coaches and other staff at their Feb. 13 school board meeting. The a
The school board approved the following actions: Jodi LaShomb, resignation from Morning Flyers program; Melissa Childs, resignation as National Honor Society advisor; Rachel Cook, appointed as National Honor Society advisor; Melissa Childs, resignation as a social studies teacher and Emily Cambridge, appointed as social studies teacher.
Also approved was Brianna Takhtani, appointed as special education teacher; Danny Beaudoin, retirement as bus driver; Dion Durrant, appointed as bus driver; Tammy Blanchard, appointed as bus driver; Ron Taylor, appointed as bus washer; Heather Hollis, appointed as cook manager; Laura Gutenmann, will retire in July, 2020 from the position of technology teacher; Donna Paige, will retire in July 2020 from an elementary teacher position; Renee Jock, will retire from her teaching position effective July of 2020.
Approved spring coaches are as follows: Varsity baseball, Steve LaShomb; modified baseball, Jonathan Hewitt; varsity softball, Becky Byrns; modified softball, Greg Butler; golf, Dave Rishe; boys spring track, Gino Bisceglia; girls spring track, Kent Fetter and spring track assistant, Stephanie Bisceglia.
The school board also approve the Key Club trip to Albany from March 29-31. This is the annual Leadership Conference that NNCS Key Club members attend.
