NORWOOD — A Norwood man was arrested Monday after allegedly touching a woman’s buttocks without her consent at Perry’s Big M, 58 Spring St., according to Norwood police.
Gary A. Ames, 55, was charged with second-degree harassment and forcible touching at 11:12 p.m., police said.
The alleged incident took place Feb. 25.
Police said the victim alleged a customer came inside the store, hugged her from behind, and then touched her buttocks twice.
The incident was allegedly witnessed by another customer, who gave a statement to police.
Ames was arraigned in Norfolk court and released on his own recognizance to appear in Potsdam court at a later date, police said.
A temporary order of protection was issued in favor of the victim, officers said.
