MASSENA -- Village police have arrested one of two suspects they say burglarized Wendy’s Diner in June.
Lincoln L. Delaney, 24, of 348 McCauslin Road, North Lawrence, was charged Tuesday with third-degree burglary, a felony.
According to court documents, he allegedly took $150 from the eatery at around 10 p.m. on June 18, 2014.
Brittany Strack gave a statement to police saying that she recognized Delaney, her ex-boyfriend, from photographs posted on NorthCountryNow.com. Police had released still images taken from security cameras that showed the two suspects burglarizing the restaurant.
Trisha Angus also gave a statement to police where she identified Delaney from the same pictures.
Delaney’s brother Tim Delaney was also implicated in court documents as an accomplice. He has not been charged, nor is there a warrant for his arrest, police said Wednesday.
In addition to the Wendy’s break-in, the brothers are also accused of burglarizing two restaurants in Malone around the same time.
Lincoln Delaney was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
