The regular harvest season for black bass, both largemouth and smallmouth, opens on Saturday, June 18.
Anglers are permitted to keep five fish with a minimum size of 12 inches.
The regular season continues through Nov. 30.
Anglers should check the Freshwater Fishing Regulations at http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7917.html to make sure they are aware of the regulations on the water they are fishing.
