POTSDAM – The North Country Children’s Museum, 10 Raymond St., plans on installing air conditioning and building a roof for its new accessibility ramp with help from a state grant.
The museum will be reimbursed up to $50,000 through a New York Main Street grant obtained by the village’s Planning and Development Office.
“The A/C will be in place for next summer,” said Sharon Vegh Williams, museum executive director. She said it might be possible to begin the roof work before spring, but the work likely will not be done until the weather warms.
The preliminary work is being done by Potsdam architect Brooks Washburn, who has been “a big supporter of the museum,” Williams said.
